Have you been living with pain, headaches, or migraines for a long time without the desired results from previous treatment? Book a free consultation and get an assessment of whether PRT could be a relevant part of your treatment.
Could PRT be right for you?
If you recognize several of these descriptions, it may be worth investigating whether PRT could be part of the solution. Perhaps you recognize some of this:

You have been experiencing pain, headaches, or migraines for a long time
You have tried several treatments without sufficient effect
The symptoms affect your daily life, work, or social life
You worry about the next attack or period of pain
You react more strongly to stress than before
You experience several symptoms at the same time
You want new tools to understand and manage your symptoms

"It is the form of treatment that has made the biggest difference in my life with chronic migraine." I have tried many different treatments over the years. If I have to point to one form of treatment that has made the biggest difference to my everyday life with chronic migraine, it is PRT. I have gained concrete tools to manage the symptoms, less fear of attacks, and a completely new understanding of the pain. Today, migraines take up less space in my life, and I experience much greater freedom in my daily life.

What can you expect from a PRT program?
PRT is about helping the brain and nervous system react less alarmingly to the body's signals.
In some people, the brain's alarm system can become so sensitive that it continues to send danger signals even when there is no longer a physical threat to the body. PRT works by creating a greater sense of safety when encountering symptoms and helping the brain gradually recognize the signals as less dangerous.
For some, this leads to less pain or fewer symptoms. For others, the benefit is less fear, greater freedom, and symptoms that take up less space in everyday life.

What is PRT?
PRT stands for Pain Reprocessing Therapy and is an evidence-based treatment method rooted in recent research on chronic pain and the brain's ability to learn and change throughout life.
Pain is the body's alarm system. Normally, pain helps us protect the body from injury. However, for some people, the alarm system can become so sensitive that it continues to react even when there is no longer any danger.
PRT works by helping the brain feel safer and react less alarmingly to the body's signals.
The pain is real. PRT is not about the pain being imaginary. The treatment is about understanding and influencing the mechanisms in the brain and nervous system that can contribute to maintaining pain and symptoms.

You can participate from home
PRT is conducted via video consultations. Many find that it provides peace of mind and flexibility to be able to participate from home without the need for travel or waiting time.
The program focuses heavily on conversations, reflection, and practical everyday exercises. That is why many find that video consultations feel both present, personal, and effective.

Kind words from our clients
Patient experiences speak louder than words – here they share their stories.
It was a huge help to be able to get an appointment within the same week, and I didn't need a referral either. All in all, my experience at Hemi was absolutely fantastic, and my meeting with the specialist was both very personal and professional.
“I was in safe hands with specialists who truly understood my situation. The digital solution meant that help was always within reach.”
“Getting treatment online has worked surprisingly well. It’s been optimal to be able to sit at home and avoid both waiting time and driving back and forth. Especially on those days when my head feels heavy.”
"In just a few months, my quality of life has improved significantly. Through my conversations with the headache nurse, I’ve become much more aware of my own thought patterns and the fear I have of the next migraine attack."

What does the research say, and who can benefit from PRT?
PRT is based on research into chronic pain, neuroplasticity, and the brain's alarm system. The treatment combines knowledge, conversation, and practical exercises focused on changing the brain's perception of pain.
PRT may be relevant for people with conditions such as migraines, chronic headaches, post-concussion syndrome, facial pain, neck pain, or other chronic pain conditions.
Research shows that many people experience less pain and better function after treatment. Since PRT does not involve medication or physical interventions, there are no medical side effects.
Whether PRT is the right treatment for you is always an individual assessment.
