Botulinum toxin (Botulinum Toxin A), also known as Botox, has been recognized for its effectiveness in treating migraines. Botulinum toxin is used in the treatment of chronic migraine, defined as having at least 15 days of headache per month, of which at least 8 days are migraine days. Botulinum toxin is not recommended for episodic migraine or chronic tension-type headache, as research studies have not proven it to be effective.
